I'm going to look at a 3 Star this weekend and can't find any infomation about it. How much hp does this tractor have and what size Farmall would it compare to? When were they made and how repairable are they? I'm told it has a 3pt hitch and live PTO. What might something like this be worth with good tires in norther NY? Any information is greatly appreciated.

Hellow John, The Jet Star 3's are 45pto hp. They were made from 1964 to 1970. You could get them with a wide or narrow front. Fuel types of gasoline, diesel or lpg. They made the 3 in a regular or super version. The regular style hood looked like a M602,G705,or G706. The super hood was like the G1000,G1000vista,G707,and G708. They have a 206 engine. I have seen them priced from $2,000 to $7,000 for a good restored one. The M-M website has some photos that might help. They also made a regular jet star earlier. On that one the center hood raises for service.Be careful if you buy this as you may see your tractor shed interior change from red to M-M yellow. I own two of them and like them very much. Give me a email if I can be of more help.

I have a Jet Star 3 Industrial (same as super) and they made older Jet Star 3's before that. Mine is about a 66 model. JS3's are from about 64 to 66 I think. Mine is about 45 horse, has newer type teleflo 3pt. and PTO. Go to www.minneapolis-moline.com for a bigger amount of info and b-board. They have some pictures in "Gallery" too. Prices? What you want to pay I guess. I gave $2500 for mine and later see them going for closer to $3500. Mine was needing some work, yet all things did work on it. It's down now to get repaired and painted. I like mine and as far as the red brand...."We don't talk no stinkin' Farmall here! HA! "G"
