I have a question about some paint codes for a 1940 M-M Model RT with a cab. I need to know what colors are painted inside the cab. I also need to know the red paint code for the rims. If you have any information please share it with me. I appreciate everyones help.

As an R freak, I have 11 of them, I feel honored to talk to some people who own R's with cabs. I am still looking to find and own one. PLEASE do not paint the rims and hubs and grill with IH color paint. The right color is a PPG paint #DAR72083 H. I happen to use their Acrylic Enamel. This is an industial or fleet color. I have some NOS parts, and it is exactly right. I believe the boys at the PPG paint store in Denison (sp) IA matched this color for Roger Mohr a lot of years ago. Using this number, I assume other paint manufacturers have a cross reference number that will work. I have some tractor supply type old straight enamel in IH red that I use to paint the inside of my rims, so it isn't seen when the tires are mounted, as it saves a little on the expensive Acrylic paint. I own a couple IH's but I shudder at seeing that color on a Minnie. Jim

Iam also getting ready to do a RT cab but 1939
What I found out that the old grey used for the Twin Cities is the color to use. Also the old prairie gold is used for exterior. I hope you were able to find doors, as I haven't yet. There
is no red for wheels so pick what you like. I'm
trying to find a picture of an interior especially seat. I hope this helps

Try Contacting Butch Fuder In Minnesota for replacement doors for the R cab, I heard at one time he was going to have some made. I believe his e-mail address is as follows: moline@prairietech.net

I am not sure of the color inside the cab? What ones I have seen have been a medium grey. On the red color, on the Minneapolis-Moline.com web site they have a paint code list. On my tractors I have used IH 2150 red. It is close but not the correct color. Keep me updated on your project.
