I have a 1951 MM U with a Stan-hoist loader. It has never worked right. Could someone tell me the right hookup for the hoses. The loader has an auxillary Hyd. tank, about 5 gal, there is control valve with ports in, out, A,B. The loader cylinder is a single acting type, only one inlet. My u has a small Hyd tank under the gas tank. It has control handle that is next to the steering wheel on the right side. The left hand side has a block which the two Hyd hoses come off of and going to the drivers seat. This block has other inlets and outlets for the power steering and where the loader was hooked up to. I was wondering if I needed the control valve that is on the loader or if I could just use the handle on the right of the steering wheel? I have plenty of various sizes of hoses, to experiment with. Any suggestions, Thanks.

Mine was plumbed taking by off the high pressure hose from the pump to the little tank, putting a ball valve on the tank where you removed the hose, (this forces the oil to the loader valve set) added a T fitting with a quick disconnect male fitting. The female fitting will attach to the loader. From the bottom of the 5 gal tank, the hose goes back up to the pump where the return line is cut and and another T fitting was added. However, in the return line of the loader, a gate valve was added. This allows the loader to be removed, the high pressure ball valve to be opened , the gate valve to be closed and still use the hydraulic system as it came from M&M. If you need, I can send you a drawing. -qtrhoss-

The older Molines had a hydrolic system all their own and only worked with their own cylinders. You can use the control valve on the loader, by tapping into the pressure and return lines from the hydrolic pump, before they reach the hydrolic tank under the gas tank.
