Guys, here's the differences you are looking for:
throttle shaft-same/different? on same side carb?
throttle plate angle-(usually stamped on plate)
fuel inlet which side?-the casting will accept both.
metering valve (more than one?)
main needle?
main jet
main nozzle
idle jet
maybe others.
just one difference will make the MS carb a different part no.

There is an I&T Unit Repair Manual that tells some of this info (Jets and nozzles).Probably other sources. Mine tapers off in the 500-600 range. I'm in college and won't see mine for about 2 weeks.

Had to call home and get Mom to find it.
It's an I & T "Standard Units Shop manual" SU-2 Has info on carburetors, and I think starters, generators, clutches. I mainly bought it for the Carb. info.

I.R.

Well, a TSX-67 fit on earlier U's, and I don't know what a TSX-693 fits. Are you trying to figure if they are interchangeable? Know what the 693 fit? Are they the same size venturi and bore? If so they will probably work interchangeably. Be a little more specific, exactly what do you want to know?

Jim
