Looked at a MM that is pretty straight for decent bucks but I know zilch about MiniMo rigs. Tag on engine says its a Model "AA". Good rubber and straight tin--motor appeared to be set in sideways (?) with plugs on right side of a "flathead" motor. Owner will get it running again (did last year)and put hood & grills back on prior to selling. Anyone want to educate a M-M novice? value? What it is (hp, etc.)? thanks.

Steve, I just remembered. You might have been looking at a 206-4A or 206-A4 engine. I think Moline ZA's had this model of engine. Maybe the 4 looked like an A. The tractor serial number plate would still be in the same location as I described in my previous note.

Steve,
It sounds like you're describing an engine from a model R or Z Moline. Model R's had an 'EE' engine and model ZT's had an 'RE' engine. I've never heard of a Moline with an 'AA' engine. The R and Z engines had a 4cyl one piece cylinder head but the cylinders were cast in two's. The cylinder and combustion chamber (including valves) were all one. The valves operate horizontally compared to verticallly for most all other conventional tractor engines (except Deere 2 cyl). Molines had seperate serial number plates for the engine and the tractor. Look on the right side of the transmission behind the belt pulley (if equipped) for the tractor serial number plate.
