Recently replaced manifold on my UB with an aftermarket one, and once I got leakes out, all works fine except throat of new manifold (its a one piece/intake and exhaust forged into 1 piece) is a little longer, so had to bend the govenor rod to get it the right length. Now it binds, and I have been rebending and rebending. Are there any adjustable aftermarket rods available or should I just keep doing what I am doing until I get it right? Thanks for your help!

Hello,
If i was you i would throw your old rod across the driveway, find a new peice of 1/4" rod and build you a new one, no rod on any tractor is the same. I have done this many of times and if you just keep playing it will be better then it ever was. Make sure you are not using any ball joints or anything like that, cause that is where it will bind first, just use a rod and and some cotterpins and i hope you get it going soon.
Hope this helps
Shawn
