I do not know anything about Minneapolis Moline tractors, in fact I have only seen a dozen or so at fairs and a few on different farms. I just saw a picture of a BG and someone mentioned a BF. These look like great little tractors. Do they have a PTO, hydrolics, or three point hitch? Are they hard to come by? I live in PA if that makes a differance. Are they compairable in size to an Allis Chalmers "B" or a Farmall Cub? How many HP. do they have? What kind of implaments and attachments? I am just interested in info. Like I said these look like great tractors!!

The "BF" is similar to the AC "B" and the "BG" is similar to the IH "A" for basic style. The "BF" is the row crop utility and the "BG" is the single row type tractor. They can have all the items mentioned ,3pt,pto, ect or they may only have the drawbar. These tractors were made in the early to mid 50's by Minneapolis-Moline after they purchased the B.F.Avery Co. These are the only M-M tractors made that did not have a M-M engine. They had a Herculies engine.

THERE WERE EARLIER MODEL TRACTORS THAT DID NOT HAVE 3 POINT HITCHES. I THINK 46 WAS THE 1ST YEAR AND THEY WERE BFS AND BFD BFD WAS 2 WHEEL ROW CROP AND BFS WAS SINGLE WHEEL. I AM LOOKING FOR ONE NOW TO RESTORE. MY FATHER OWNED ONE IN THE 60'S.
