I`m thinking of buying an M5 that I think is froze its a propane tractor. Can some one tell me what its worth ? Also can it be switched out to gas? I don`t know much about the minnies I`m a farmall man and getting board with them. Thanks for your time, Richard (aka) Pigpen.

It can be switched to gasoline by changing fuel tank, hood, carburator, and the heads. The lpg uses the higher compression heads. If you are going to make a pulling tractor out of it you may want to keep the higher compression heads on or run it on lpg.

Richard,
I have a 5 Star which is basically the same engine except the M5 has a larger bore. It was converted from LP to gas before I bought it. The only problem is the compression is fairly high because it still has the LP heads which means you get compression knock if you lug it much. Works fine if you don't lug it. Could add an extra block gasket under the blocks to reduce compression ratio some to make it lug better.
