the manual for my m 670 says every 300 hr check and fill the dist oil resv. the only resv with a plug is the one between the water pump and dist.is this it? thanks aaron

Since no one else has responded, I'll take a stab at it.
I can only tell you that the older tractors that have Delco distribuitors with the cap held on with clips have a plug in the side of the distribuitor housing in the narrow neck between the top and the base. Every so often that plug was removed and a few drops of probably 20w or thinner oil was put in to lubricate the distribuitor bushing. (Something like 3-in-1 oil.) also, the distribuitor cam on those distribuitors had a felt in the center (under the rotor button) that was supposed to receive a drop or two of light oil. I was really thinking your 670 had the later style distribuitor with the cap held on with screws. I really don't know how they are lubricated.
