The battery keeps going dead while running the H, so installed a new battery. Does it recharge the battery from the magneto? Also does it have a voltage regulator? Thanks for any input.

The first problem is that its not prairie gold. However I think that an H had a generator which would have a voltage regulator. I may be mistaken. I used to have a C, the voltage regulator part is uncertain but the headlight switch had four positions 1. off 2. made the generator charge 3. was front lights 4. was front and back lights. If the switch was turned to 2, 3, or 4 the generator was charging the battery. Most of those old farmalls had an ammeter on the dash. You could tell if it was charging by the guage.

good luck.
