21-32 serial number confusion

We have a Twin City 21-32 tractor in running condition which we are trying to date more accurately. It has 21-32 stamped below the radiator so we are pretty sure that is what it is :-) however, the serial number on the plate is 901735 - model GE which doesnt seem to match up with the serial numbers quoted on this web site and another I have found. The plate has M-M Power Implement Company on it with number and model but nothing stamped in for type. BTW, we are in Australia if that makes a difference (export tractors numbered differently ??). We are in the same boat with a Minneapolis Moline model G - serial number does not seem to match with the numbers quoted here and the range of models is very confusing. This one has original paintwork in reasonable condition with the G logo pretty clear next to the MM - this one was bought new from Toowoomba (Qld, Aust) - we bought it a couple of years ago (second owner).

Can anyone help us out.

cheers andrew

On the G moline look on the right side of the transmission case for the tractor serial #. It should be near where the belt pully goes. There should be one some where on the TC but I don't know where, look. The tag on the engine is the engine serian #. Hope this helps. Larry
