I'm changeing the plugs, condensor, and points on my MM5 but don't know the gap setting for points and plugs nor the proper timing. can someone give me a hand?

Also, in setting the points I'm having trouble getting the disributor cam to stop in the right spot --- is there a special trick to this?

Thanks

I have a Tune up Specifications! page. at Link

You will find the point and plug gap there.

George,
The plug gap will depend on if your M5 is a gas or an LP. I think .015 is correct for LP but it should be around .028-.030 for gas plugs.

George,
My G705 points gap at .018 to .024 on high cam. The plugs gap at .015. The condenser should be easy to change out. When you get the plugs out, put the new points in and turn the fan to get the points on high cam. Gap them, set them, and then put in your new plugs. Good luck.

Good tip about pulling plugs and then turning fan -- thank you
