Help !!!
We have just recently acquired a Minneapolis-Moline tractor and are having difficulties finding any info on it. Other than the BF after the name on the hood we have located a number on the rear end housing and a plate on the engine with what appears to be serial or engine #'s.
Any knowledge of finding a true serial number or actual tractor model would be greatly appreciated. I realize what I have given isn't a lot of info, but with this particular machine I don't have much more to offer.

Thanks in advance for any help...

If your tractor is small like a Farmall Cub it would likely be the model "V". If it is larger like a Farmall "C" and with a wavered mesh grill like a JD 80,820 830 stlye it is a model "BF". This model replaced the Avery model "R" after M-M purchased the Avery Company. I have a "BF" and its a nice handy little tractor.

The serial number should be on the right frame
rail. MM bought the B.F. Avery Co. in early 1951.
So your tractor must be gold colored and built
from 1951-57. Post the serial number if you find
it and I'll give you the year.
