Would like to sell a carburetor that is brand new, never been used, still in the original box. It fits a 7700 JD combine. It would work good on an HD 800 or highly modified 4 cylinder.

He may have sold the tractor by now but last spring Randy Ufferman in Fredricktown, Ohio was looking for one of these, I believe, to put on a G1000. He converted it from propane to gas. I think the carburetor he used was from a 6600 combine and wasn't quite big enough. I don't recall his number but he sometimes advertises in the classifieds and photo ads. I can try to locate him if you want.

Is that why he was selling the g1000, because it
didn't run right and he couldn't find the carb
that it needed?

Randy had two G1000s he wanted to sell. The gas row crop and a Vista diesel. I worked both of them in the field pulling tillage equipment. Engines and transmisions worked good. He felt the gas tractor probably didn't make enough power with the small carb but it ran fine. It seemed to be in better condition than the Vista and all major components worked. Low side of the torque sounded noisy to me. The Vista had one brake that didn't work, low side of torque didn't work and the steering acted like a seal was bad in one of the cylinders.

I have seen advertisements in the Hook magazine on these carbs and they were asking $450 for them and they were used, needed rebuilt. This one is brand new and I am asking $450. It still has an original metal mounting gasket and a twisty tie around one of the mounting holes so I know that it has never been used. These carbs are not that easy to find. They didnt make very many 7700 gas combines. It is a Bendix model. I have worked at John Deere for 10 years and have never seen a carb this big. A guy that I work with bought the carb brand new and for some reason never used it and it set around for about 10 years. He asked me to see if I could find an owner for it. I left the carb at work so I cant get an accurate measurement but the mounting flange hole is 1 7/8 or 1 15/16 and the intake is I think 3 or 3 1/4 inches. If I remember right, the only tag on the carb was a JD part number. I will check Monday when I get to work. Hope this helps with some of your questions!

Are these the big funny new age looking carb? I
have a g1000 vista on gas (everyone will tell you
that they did not make this tractor in gas,
however I can't find any indication of it ever
being anything else) with low hours and very
original looking. I was wondering what else that
carb might fit. I have heard of similiar stories
of availability when a man told me about a g900
that was needing a bigger carb.

Didn't know JD ever made a 7700 gas. Never saw 1 for sure. Might this have been a transplant from a 105 or 95. jd never had much luck with their bigger gas stuff.

Deere did make a 7700 with a gas engine. According to dealer brochure it was 362 cu. in. rated 128 H.P. at 2,500 RPM. Hope this helps.
