I have never seen a GT or GTA where I live moslty GB and U models but I have seen pictures of the old GT and GTA tractors they appear to have a much bigger transmission and just look much heavier than the G and GB models. Are they heavier?

R Wyler,

According to my Nebraska book test #317 the GT weight was 9445 but this was carring 1700lbs of fluid, 840 cast iron on rear with 160 cast iron on front. This would compute out to 6745 bare weight. Oh, this was with operator and I have no idea what he (or she) weighed. The GTB on the other hand was listed at 7230 bare with operator in test #437. I agree that my GT looks heavier than my GTB but not according to Neb. Now my operators manual for the GT shows the weight as 6300 with belt pulley and rubber tires but my operators manual for the GTB shows 6400 with 14x34 tires. I have never had my GT on the scales but my GTB with fluid goes about 8500 with 15x34 tires. Hope I haven't confussed you to much. Roger
