My tractor doesn't have enough compression to fire when I crank the engine over. It has sat for over a year without cranking. Could the valves not be seating? It must be getting oil if I crank it over.

I found out why it wasn't starting. One of the exhaust valves was sticking and I wasn't getting any gas in the goveno

A lot of times after setting a while rings dry out. Squirt a couple shots of light weight oil in cylinders. Used to have combine had to do this to after setting between harvests, Started fine after I ran it for a while.
