Where are serial numbers located on averys which were sold as M/Ms, like BF etc ? Thanks

They were usualy stamped on the top of the right frame rail by the brake pedals. On some late model units they had a tag rivited on the frame by the clutch bell housing.

These are both single front wheel models and the numbers don't make since to me for the info I have, they are 11a-786, 11a-006, can you make any since of this they both prarie gold under everything.

From what is shows on my serial number list they would both be made in 1947. That was before M-M purchased the Avery Company. The serial number matches with the model "A" made by the B.F.Avery Company.These serial numbers would be stamped in and not raised numbers. The model A had a bar type grill and the later M-M BF has a wavey mesh grill like a JD R,80 ect. If it is a model A it may be a primer that they used that had the yellow color or it may have been painted by a dealer or customer to make it look like the newer model. Keep me updated here as to what you find.
