I think the G900 was one of MM's best tractors. Engine and drivetrain were solid. I am partial to diesels, but a friend has a gas that has been a great tractor. He uses it to move big round hay bales two at a time, one on the three point and one on the loader. See if you can find out what the tractor was used for to determine condition. Mine came out of North Dakota. The only concern with mine is 2nd gear is pretty noisy and loose. I think it may be the only gear they used! What part of the country are you from?

Bemidji MN. Auction has 2 other tractors and a couple OTR Tractor Trailer rigs. Largest field implement is 16 foot disk plow and 20 foot field cultivator. Tractor is listed as G-900 STD with Dual hyd., PS, 23.1X30's with 4400 hours in good condition. It does not mention the 3 point but I would suppose I could get one to add on if it does not have it. Does the G mean it is gas or could it still be Deisel? Thanks for the info. Bob

Bob,
The G in G-900 is the series of tractor. It does not mean its a gas engine. It could still be a diesel. A STD model will most likely have a solid cast front axle that is not adjustable and it most likely will not have a 3pt from the factory. I suppose its possible to put a 3pt on it but I'm guessing it could be a lot of work.

I doubt if you will find an add on 3 pt for a tractor that big. I searched high and low for one for a JD 4020 LP Wheatland some years ago to no avail. After all that is said, lets hope yours has 3 pt on it. All I have heard about G900 is positive. Good Luck, hope you get it. Let us know.

I don't think a 3 PT was available on a std. 900. The std and the row crop had a completely different hydraulic system. The 900 was also built on LP gas which in our area was the most popular fuel
