Filling a tractor with 20# cylinders used to be just expensive now it is immposible. It was expensive because when you have those little cylinders filled you pay between $1.50 to $3.00 a gallon for the fuel. What makes it worse is LP doesn't have the energy per gallon that gas or diesal has. It is now IMMPOSIBLE due to the new valve that has been mandated by some of our illustrious bueracrats in the government. This new valve will not allow liquid to be drawn from the cylinder. Gas dealers won't fill the small tanks without the new valve either. If you are going to be working this tractor at all drawing vapor off of these tanks won't work. As to your original question If you have a LP dealer close (within a tractor drive) and you are good at planning ahead you can drive the tractor to the fuel dealer and have them fill strait from the truck. Another option is to buy what is refered to as a pig tank (usually 125 gallons water capacity) and a fill hose. Make sure the tank has a way of drawing liquid fuel. I would recomend a tank with a dip tube instead of a fitting in the bottom of the tank. Some real nasty stuff hangs out in the bottom of a LP tank and you don't want it in your tractors fuel system. This method uses fuel pressure to fill the tank by venting the vapor off the tractor tank. I wouldn't recommend this in a residential area. Otherwise a LP pump of some sort is required. I think these start at about$300 or $400. One word of caution I have found LP tractors to be addictive I added one to my collection about 13 years ago and now have 6. Hope this helps JT
