I was looking for information on what carburators(can't spell worth a hoot.. need my 9 year old to help with that!) would work on this tractor. Not my tractor but run it some, carb seems to be pretty well shot. Was just rebuilt and 6 months later troubles agian.
Thanks for any info.

Duane

Is there any chance you might have some trash coming down the gas line? If it ran well for a while after it was rebuilt that's what I'd look for.

Very possible... hadn't made that connection. seams like the owner had gas tank off and just blew it out with air to get rid of rust. have to ask him if he has checked. how do you clean a dirty (Rusty) tank?

Thanks....

take the tank off put a hand full of gravel and a short piece of chain in side and shake it all around till your wore out then wash it out and put gas tank sealer in it, that will cure the tank,LW

After closer inspection....
The tank appears to be ok. No loose rust or dirt in carb. that I could see and fuel looked clean. I think we are back to original issue.. where can you get these completly rebuilt. The rebuild last fall consisted of new needles and springs and a good cleaning. The seats are worn, looks like they need to be replaced, is this possible on these? Also, who can rebuild these or whats a good will fit.
Thanks for above input.
Duane

I had an 'R' Carb rebuilt at Motec Engineering, 7342 W. State Road 28, Tipton IN 46072 765-963-6628 and they did a good job for $50.00.
