Whats a decent 95 super worth, am looking at one with the American Bosch injection pump. (not to thrilled about this) It runs well but has some blowby and starts hard. Most likly the pump. Sheet metal has some repairable minor dings in it.
Thanks for any input.

I have had a few of these over the past few years. It seems like most of them are hard starting either b/c the pump is worn, which sounds like it is in your case, and also if the engine is ready for an overhaul, these two in combination make them a bear to start unless it is mid-summer. I have sold a couple of these.

mf95super poor tires, held air, started well, very little blow by or smoke for 2250.00 a couple of dents in fenders

mf95 super tires fair, lightly smoked, 21st made, started just okay in the summer, metal perfect 2500.00

mf95 super seized, perfect metal, tires held air, complete 1200.00

That should maybe give you an idea. Pumps are expensive to get worked on, I would figure at least 400.00. You may check your fuel filters and also replace the three rubber lines that run to your injection pump. Also check to make sure that the clean air hose in front of the engine is not kinked or anything. Best of luck. If I were going to guess a price range on yours, (location means alot here though) I would say in the 1750.00 to 2100.00) depending on tires, completeness (that chrome strip that runs up the middle of the rad is expensive) etc. That of course would be around here in Ohio.

I couldn't tell you the value, but I would be worried about the compression. If they had used much starting fluid, the top compression rings could be shot. This could acount for the blow by and the had starting. Something to ponder

I'm sure it does have a certain amount of wear in the rings, it does'nt seem have excessive compression loss. The engine runs very even once it gets some heat built into it. The throttle response is very sluggish, although the governor does seem to repond quickly when a load is applied.

Sounds like one a friend has- he's been trying to get $2,000 for it for quite awhile, and no luck. His may be in a little better shape, from your description. Pumps and overhauls for those beasts get awfully spendy.
