Might take my aunt's offer to aquire grandads Minneapolis Moline. I'm the only one left in the family still involved in agriculture. But I've become a John Deere owner, and don't know much about the M&M's. Well, I think the model is a ZAU. I remember that it had the pan seat, hand clutch, and the steering rod went down the side of the tractor, which side I can't recall. It was a gas burner and had clam shell fenders. Well, I'm going out to look at it this coming weekend. Does this sound like a ZAU, and looking at the M&M site here, there aren't any pictures or much discussion on this board on this model. Is this a rare model?

You won't regret bringing Grandpa's Minnie home. The ZAU is a fine, strong machine. Variety is the spice of life. I, too have a couple of Deeres with a Case, Ford, IH, Ferguson, and Minneapolis Moline to keep 'em company. My Minnie will stay with me 'till the end. Maybe the 630 LP, too.

Ths ZAU is not a rare tractor, but it is a good tractor. I have two of them that I would not part with. The R is another model like the Z only smaller. When you get to see the tractor, look on the right side of the transmission housing for the serial number tag. Copy all those numbers and post them back here so we can help you ID this unit. Or you check out www.minneapolis-moline.com
for lots of pictures and info. Good luck and happy farming with tha "praire gold"
