Went to the tractor show at Washington, KS this Sat., and saw 10 M-M's sell at auction by same seller. One fella picked up 5 of them. The first 8 were restored with at least serviceable tires, all had batteries and ran. Most had all 3 lights with flat lenses with good bodies and original or reproduction working gauges. You could see these tractors were done right mechanically. Only drawback was when it came to paint, you put all that work in these things and then give it a second rate paint job. All the owner needed to do was spend more time with the sandpaper, slow the gun down and/or add some hardener. Still, they were quite nice tractors.
1951 GTB - $1300
1949 UTS - $1275 I thought these were a steal
RTI Had a 1952 or up engine with a 1948 RTU trans case, but did have correct Ind. axles with a loader that I believed worked - $1600
1944 ZTU - $975
1941 UTU Had a UTE pedestal and wide front bolted on, interesting - $1650
1940 RTN This was the one I chased. Did have later platform with extensions and fenders rather than early wide platform. Had 34" rears. $1600
1949 ZAU - $1200
1947 RTU - $1300

Fella had 2 unrestored complete running tractors.
1956 335 Utility - $1400
1950 ZAU - $675
Over all I thought they went cheap, they should have been sold at the PGR Winter Convention to bring out there true value, or at least at a better advertised auction.

Jim

Thanks for the information. I agree, they should have brought more. Any ideas what UB Special LPG bring restored. Just curious. My dad sold his a few years back for $750.00. I still get a lump in my stomach when I think of it. Oh well!!!! Jason
