Hi, Would anyone out there by any chance know what the correct spark plug is for my 1949 Minnapolis Moline, with a series E engine. I appreciate any information someone might have concerning this. Thank you for your advise. Jack

If your engine is really a series EE or RE, as used in R or Z tractors, the 14mm thread plug I use is Champion J8. If by chance yours has 18mm threads, use Champion D21. Of course, other spark plug manufacturers have their own equivalents.

We have had much better luck with the Autolite plugs. In our forklift when we used the Champion plugs we had to change them every three to four months. When we started using Autolite we can go close to two years before we have to change them. Your tractor would use the 295 in most cases and sometimes the 216. These plugs are the same dia but one is slightly longer. If it is a larger dia it would then be a 386 or the hotter 388. If you cant find a Autolite use a AC they work just about as good. You may have good luck with Champion if you can get a good high octane gas.
