I have a Mocraft L800 series loader on a Jet Star 2. The hydralics are hooked into the tel-o-flo system.
I want to hook it up to its own spool valve. question i have is this, can I hook it up to any spool valve or must it have a bypass in the spool valve so i dont ruin the pump??

I think any control valve you would add would have it's own releif valve. The added valve would need to be plumbed into the pressure line between the pump and the teleflo lift. Return oil would need to be returned to same resevoir you now have. You would then have two systems and could operate only one at a time. Depending on amount of oil needed to operate your loader you might need to add a resevoir tank in the return line you will be adding.

Larry,
It depends on what pump you intend to use.
The original setup includes a relief valve in the control valve assembly under the seat. There is one in the casting on the back of the pump also but it only controls the pressure of the fluid that goes to the power steering

I dont have power steering so the pump that I am using came with the tractor. Can I still get that control valve assembly someplace or can I get a dif. spool valve assembly to work? What kinda pressure for the relief valve do i have to have?

Larry, I don't understand exactly what you are asking.

If you are wanting to add a separate control valve because the loader operates too slow, I don't think a valve will solve that. Maybe the pump isn't flowing what it should be.

If the reason for adding another control valve is to free up outlets for other use, you can get a selector valve that allows that from Burdens or Northern hydraulics for about $50.

I have a JetStar3 with a loader on that I have a selector valve for one circuit so I can use a remote cylinder. It has worked fine for years.

If you have any questions, e-mail me & I'll try to answer them.
John

At work over the years we have had several jet star series with loaders on. On almost all of them the loader control valve was pluged into one set of the hyd remote couplers. Usually a bunge strap is used to hold the tractors valve lever forwards or backwards. The tel-o-flo hyd system is a open center system and you need to use a valve of the same type. Your tractor should be hooked up the same way. Look in the operators manual for a photo of the pump to see if it is the correct stock one. A little double checking can save a lot of problems later,If you have more questions give me a email.

There's a M5 down here with loader down here that is running on a separate oil pump on the pto shaft. has its own reservoir and loader valve too.
