My father in law has an RTU that does not run. It appears that there is a bent rod that has the engine stuck. My usual color is Red but for some reason this little yellow tractor has caught my fancy. The sheet metal is in great shape. Is it worth trying to fix the engine? Will it be hard to find parts for it? Is there any MM information regarding color schemes and decals?

Any information will be appreciated.

Congratulations on seeing the light of prairie gold! Speaking from my experience with working on Model R engines I feel that they are quite easy to fix. Most of the engine areas are accessable through several covers. also the model R was one of MM's most popular models and parts are quite easy to come by.

good luck with your project
