We just finished putting together a GB gas last week that we ended up boring and putting new pistons and rings in. I didn't think to ask anyone about break in on a new set of rings and cylinders. The bottom end of the engine was in good shape but we ended up with new valves and pistons. I am looking for suggestions as we have only run the tractor about 10 minutes to time it and warm it up good to check for leaks and parts I might have left in it. Thanks for any info, Bruce.

Bruce , after your intial warm up I would check timing, carb settings, fluid levels and possibly the valve clearance because you would surprised how things change after the first start up.If things look in order and you have access to a dyno start by applying a light load and increase the load over a period of 1 hr. or so. This can also be done with out a dyno with implements just be sure not to lug the engine. I change the oil after a few hrs. I hope this helps
