My grandpa used to own one a A4T-1400 model and sold it when I was little. Just today at the Internation Plowing Match I found the man who bought it from him and he wants to sell it back to me. The question is, just for curiousity sake, what did these tractors have for engine cubic inch? HP? etc. It's a diesel model, whether or not that makes a difference. Thanks for any info. I'm interested in everything you guys know about these tractors. Thanks again,
Darren

Well the A4T-1400's were made only two years 1969 and 1970 from 50 series parts. they had the 504 diesel. same engine as the G1050. could also get it turboed. just like the G1050. As for the A4T-1600 the D585 came available in 1970 to power the G1350 so it naturally went in to the 1600 also which was made till 1972 in MM tin, that with the LP option on the 1600 was the only major differences. Later you could order the HD800 straight from the factory to power your A4T-1600. The tractors all use G950 final drives, G1350 transmissions and with hydraulics and tin work common to all with some parts lightly modified to work. the cab although was especially made for that tractor. If you need help and your near Wichita look me up.

If the price is fair and it is in good shape, buy it. Not very many made, and some were dressed as Oliver 2455's. I once ran across a 1400 with an 800 motor in it. It was represented/disguised as a 1600. I later talked to the man who bought it and found out the serial # tag was for a 1400.

Thanks a lot for the info. I'm not anywhere near Wichita (I think it's in Texas?) I'm in Thameseville Ontario. If I have any more questions thought I may look you up. Thanks again.
