Used my 1967 Jetstar 3 to do some disking with a 10 foot disk. Tractor hasn't worked too hard in recent years, but did a great job, moving right along. After the tractor got warmed up thoroughly, the tractor began to sputter-out. I am thinking I read something about dirt/etc being sucked down into the filter screen when something like this happens. This sound right to anyone, or do you have any other ideas?

could be a fuel cap venting issue too. as the motor runs, the fuel is drawn, creating a vacuum which the cap vent counteracts by allowing air to enter to replace the burned gas. if vent is not properly functioning, the vacuum created prevents fuel from leaving the tank.
good luck

Are you sure it is a fuel problem. You said after it warmed up. That would make me look at maybe the coil or condensor going bad when it warmed up. It may not be related to heat at all and maybe all the bouncing around it took may have jarred some crud loose. But another thing is it gas, lp, or diesel? If it is a diesel your fuel lines maybe coming apart and collapsing and restricing fuel flow.
