MAIN PROBLEM IS THE CLASS HAS A 466 CI LIMIT AND A SINGLE TURBO AT 3500 RPM'S ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPERCIATED.THANKS!

First, let me say that I love to see MM's pull as much as anyone else. I feel that unless you can get into a class that will allow 585's, forget it. Your biggest limiting factor(unless you are allowed to change from stock) is the Roosa-Master fuel pump. The old Lanova type injection system on the G-900 is fine for stock pulling, beyond that, who knows. Also, the pencil type injectors on the 585's are limited on laser modification, and reportedly have limited lifespan. The logistics favor IH,JD,AC,etc. Look at the supply of engines in salvage yards! When is the last time you seen a salvage combine with a big block Moline engine in it? Save yourself at lot of agony and go with the flow. The magazines are full of outfits to help you get a high rev tractor going.

Barry:

I have noticed in the past couple years the cubic inch limits and the rpm allowances of such classes as you mention have been created for one reason: To give IH and JD pullers an advantage against the slow large power and might of an MM (or possibly older Case engines). Molines built bigger slower engines for a reason: they last longer and pull better. If they are serious about race engines instead of pulling engines, they should build Chevys and Fords. Too many MMs have been hauled a long way just to be told they can't pull even against turbo machines because even the stock motor size is too big. 504,585,605 and 800 engines never get a chance. Well there's some of my ideas why those regulations are popular. Didn't mean to complain too loud. Your G900 should be either 425 or 451 cu. in. stock anyhow. Good motor. Good luck!!!

4.625 bore, destroke crank to 4.625 stroke, in a 6 cyl that is 466ci, should work at 3500rpm.
