I bought a tractor an A4T-1600? What I know is the transmission data tag is missing. the engine is a d585. it has the white name on the bubble nose and the same bent waffled type grill as our G950. It doesn't have the plastic cross bar grill. I have never seen this set up on an A4T-1600. Now I have been told that grill combination was only on 1400's. the tractor has been repainted badly with the mm covered by the white name. Is there any way to tell the difference between the two by looking at a particular piece on this tractor. It does have a big forward leaning cab with front fenders and rear fenders.

more info: the tractor has 23.1 by 30 tires but they are clamp on hubs not taperlock. also it has a Mead cab. If anyone has pictures of there open station or A4T-1400 tractors to compare I would surely appreciate that. thanks

The 1400's had the same engine as the G1000 which was 504ci.So if you have a 585 I would think its a 1600.

well thats if the tractors original? which by the looks of it its not. I have seen both a 1400 with a 504 LP and an 800LP. that is definately not original, since factory only put out D504's. does the front fenders with the integral steps ring any bells?

I thought the A4T1400 only came with the D504 engine. I think the square block grill was used on the Oliver version of the A4T.
