Is there a electronic ignition conversion kit for a 2N on the market? Thanks.

There's no kit - no drop-in, bolt-on conversion.

If you're not scared of machine-shop work, the Pertronix electronic ignition system which is sold for side-mount, 12 volt 8N's can be converted for use in a front-mount distributor. You'll need to convert to 12 volts, negative-ground in order to do this. There was a good article about this several issues back in the N-Newsletter.

Your humble servant actually designed and built a prototype conversion for the front-mount distributor last year - a drop-in design that would do what you're looking for. But since the market did not seem to be there, that's where it stayed - as a prototype.

Build it and they will come..... How do I get one of these wonderful gems. I know there must be a market out there. There are a lot of 9n,2n,and 8n's with front mounted PITA points ????
