You all know how it is. You get started on restoring an N and then you NEED another tractor to do the work while you have the N in pieces. I have been passing this nice 601 at a green thing dealer and I stopped to check it out. It is pretty nice. They are asking $3950. I think I might be willing to pay #3000-3500. I have not started it, and could not find the SN. Wondered what yall think.

Well, it certainly looks nice. But I'm kinda of a cynical old f-rt, so I would look closer. Its been converted to 12 volts. I wonder why. Converting to 12 volts helps cover up other problems. 600 series is very close to the Jubilee. Also paint looks too good. I'd poke a screwdriver in a couple of places and see if they painted the old grease too. Spend some time with it before you spend your money. Several posts in the archives give you a run down of things to look for. Compression, hydraulics, loose steering parts, worn lift parts come to mind first.
