Yep, a really fine day. Now I can keep tearing into the 8N and not worry about the grass. Guess I'd better find thet 1/2 of the hog shaft I lost.

I checked the 601 real good. It has 55 hrs since rebuild of engine and restore. Claimed 5 years ago. It seems pretty tight. Paid full price-$3950 no tax. Lift works fine & no smoke. 134 ci. here I come, the fescue won't know what hit it. Thank goodness for all that rain the last few weeks.(not talking about Houston,sorry. I have seen the snakes swimming at Intercontental Airport,yikes)

I digress,..... .frequently!

If you look on top of the transmission boss right behind your starter you should find your serial number and model number. 601 would be the series and if you have a four speed its probably model 641.

I have a 641 and if your refering to the yellow thats where a spin on would go. But i dont believe the penzoil was on the better filter list

You're right. Pennzoil filters are made by Allied Signal...same folks that make Fram.....JUNK!! Replace that asap with a Wix or sumpin.
