My 8n has a front end loader on it. I think its to much weight and really puts stress on her. Found a nice Jub. with dozer blade on front which will actually steer. Also has backhoe. Checked her out real good and now I was wondering should I swap. It's not money that the issue, can I count on getting parts as easily and can I still participate in this forum. Looking forward to your advice again. Thank you, Paul

Sure wish I could keep my 8n and get that jub, wife will kill me if I do, she won't drive it so I can't make that 8n hers. Have to think of name though. Thanks again for all the help and will update soon. Paul

Maybe if you took the loader off of the 8N and gave it a real good clean up and polished up the hood you could convince the wife to drive it. It's a lot nicer looking without the loader and still has a million uses. Or get the wife a new toy of her choosing so you can keep both tractors. You can (almost) never have too many tractors.
Get the Jub first and say that you will decide later about the 8N.

Good luck.

N - joy.

I have re-done one 9N and am now working on my Jubilee. The 9N is a great tractor but I love my Jubilee. I just (last week)moved to Mariposa, Ca from NC and brought the Jub with me. Just couldn't leave it.

But if you change your tractor
wont you also have to change your name?

A jubilee only has a few more hp than an 8N. It does have live hydraulics which is a plus. I have a 53 GJ and have rebuilt an 8N. I like them both. I do believe the jubilee is a little stouter even tho it uses some 8N parts. Parts are just as available as those for an N. Actually it led to the hundred series tractors and many of them are still running and parts are readily available. and certainly you could participate here. It does have N in the series name doesn't it? Some folks are diehards and would disagree, but I think of the Jubilee as the last N series. Heck, they are all great.
