Has anyone ever changed the blades on a MONO Mfg. Co. rotary cut mower? I have been working at this for a week and it appears that there is some type of special nut holding the center disc on. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Brett

Hi Brett I've got a MONO Model 35-60, and the center bar is held on with an 1-1/4" castleated nut. I believe all the 35HP models were mounted on this type of bar and the 60HP models were mounted on a safety disc. These were fastened directly to the output gear splined shaft. If you got the cotter pin removed and the nut removed I suppect the splined shaft is probably rusted tight. Good luck.

Hey thanks Mike. I had the brother come over with his 36" pipe wrench (and a lot of liquid wrench!) and we just removed the bolt holding on the old blade. Put the new blade on, greased her up and mowed some of the pasture. :) I have a 60-60 mower any Idea where to get a manual or parts list for one of these?
