I am wondering what brand tire came as original equipment on the N series tractor? Firestone? Looked in my instruction book, no help. Also, I searched the archives for an article on how to id an N series tractor months back, but now can't locate it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks on this stormy night in Wisconsin.

Again doing this from memory, the majority of them were equiped w/Firestones. Remember Henry and ol' man Firestone were close friends. Still shows today.

As you have noted in the news of late Henry and Harvy were the best of business pals. Yes Firestones were on the vast majority of N's, however others were mixed in from time to time with B.F Goodrich most likely being second most prevalent brand.

Hi Al: Here's a link to John Smith's site on how to identify N-series Ford tractors: Click here to visit it.

I don't know the answer to your tire question, but would assume that the tire supplier might have varied, depending on who ole Henry could cut the best deal with at the time.

Hope this helps..... ..... Ed
