we just aquired an ,1952 Ford 8N Funk 6 Cylinder overhead valve. We heard they were rare, and was wondering if anyone had any information, literature or knew where we could obtain any. We have completly rebuilt from bottom to top, restoration. This one has all of the Funk parts, with Funk markings. Any information would be greatly appreicated.

Hey Rick, last weekend we went to a show down at Pottsville,Ore. and a guy what has a tractor business brought 2 Funks, one was the overhead 6 1952 8-n and he had $15,500.00 price tag on it. It looked to be in good shape, but no shiny paint or anything. I talked with him a bit, he seemed fairly knowledgable about Fords, as he stated on 4-sale sign that there were only 600 made.I asked him where he came by that info, he said from books and talking to people. Whether thats true or not, I don't know.

Hi Rick. Part of John Smith's excellent web site dedicated to N-series tractors has some good info on the Funk's. You can visit it by clicking here.

Hope this helps..... ..... .Ed

Rick..... .go down to your local mega-bookstore, in the last 5 yrs, there have been at least 5 books published on the N-Tractor with chapters and pictures divoted to the "Funk" conversions. More info than I care to type about. I find the Funk conversions intelectually interesting but am just as happy with my 4 cyl eazy starting 52 8N. It does what I need it to do..... ...Dell
