My tractor is crying out for an implement to pull and I would like to have an old John Deere ground driven manure spreader to pull, just like my grandpa and dad had on the farm. The value of them can vary. What are others finding they are selling for in your area(s)? I like to wear the 'striper bibs' just like grandpa did also. My girlfriend thought I looked so cute in them. Coffee time as the birds are singing. It's beautiful here on the farm. Al in Wisconsin.

Back in the 60s when my brother law and I were in the Ford tractor business we used to advertise that we would stand behind everything we sold except the manure spreaders! We would not stand behind them. Even in our bib overhalls! :O)

Now I don't feel quite so bad. We found a really nice model R JD speader on a sale last winter and had to pay $495 for the honor of owning it. We put it right to work though and the paint is still pretty good for original. I have seen some junk ones sell for 10 and 20 dollars though. I really thought we would get this one for a couple hundred but evidently so did one other guy!
We found an original manual for it on Ebay for 7.50! Not bad.
