Jubilee is simply an abbreviation for Golden Jubilee. Only built in 1953. NAA came in 1954 and was virtually the same tractor.

Just trying to get this straight for myself - is a Golden Jubilee (1953) an NAA?

Yes,

All '53 and '54 models were NAA. The '53 was the year of the anniverary tractor and was named the "Golden Jubilee". Parts books classify all this stuff as NAA.

Correcto-mundo! Unfortunately, many misinformed folks still call any of the cyclops-hooded Fords(GJ, NAA through hundred series) "Jubilee", like they call ALL 9/2/ & 8N's "red bellies."

I'm new to this tractor game(obsession). Just bought a Jubilee. Please straighten me out on the "Red Belly" I thought all N-series could be called Red Bellys. Not So?

The nickname "Redbelly" started with the 8N in '48 when the color scheme changed from the dull all gray (9N/2N) to the red chassis and tan sheet metal/wheels (8N). Many 9N's and 2N's are painted with the 8N color scheme cause it looks purtier.

It gets worse than that. I show people a pic of my 850 and they say "Oh, is that an 8N?"

Take heart - at least they know there is such a thing as an 8N. And they didn't call it a John Deere... :-)

From what I've gathered on this board, they are both the same thing - a 1953 NAA. Please correct me if I'm mistaken, folks...

John
