I just put a new wiring harness(Ford New Holland) on my 52 8n. My problem is that the end connection on the wire that goes through the inductive loops on my (original I think) ammeter is too large to pass through. The obvious answer is to cut it off, pass it through, and crimp on a new one. Anybody buy the same wiring harness? What did you do?

Just did the same on my 48 8N. Took the bend it in a U and trim off the plastic insulator method. Didn't check for proper direction first. Oh ye of little faith. RICKWI

Bend the connector in to a "U" shape then flatten it out after you get it through. Just watch out that you got it the right direction b4 you bend it back. Use an alligator clip and turn on the key and see that the ammeter discharges, you will know you have it right.

Sounds like your only option to me.
