With luck this will be a picture of my 850 in the lean-to I built to keep my 850 and 8N out of the weather. The 8N is getting close - the sheet metal is done except for the red on the Ford script, and I hope to get all the red painted this coming week.

Hi Paul,

Nice looking 850. What is the distance between 6x6 posts? and length of the 6x6's - 8 feet tall?

I'm pouring sono-tubes on Thursday for a tractor shed too. 16x24. Will have 26 foot cathedral/scissor trusses so I can park the 850 with the backhoe. Hopefully I can squeeze in the 9N, 850 with loader and hoe and some wood storage!!

Nice pictures and it looks to be like you did some nice carpentry work on the lean to. 9N'er

I have 7'4" between posts - a tight fit for the 850 with those big tires but I think I can manage. The 8N will fit very easily and my mowers will positively rattle in their little slice of the lean-to. I did use 8 foot 6X6 posts.

The tractor too!(-:

I also just put up a lean-to on my barn (pics to come), It looks like you went on 16" centers with your rafters? and guessing you used purlins on 2' centers?(can't see in the pic) The plans for my 10'x48' lean-to called for the rafters to be on 4' centers with purlins on 2' centers and "Y" braceing on all poles. I just finished mine this weekend excrpt for stone-next weekend.

What's up with your rear rims??, something looks different???

I went 16" centers because of the 16 ft span and relatively flat pitch and a pretty conservative code in the city. I'm going to put the Y's in as soon as I get my 8N off the 6X6's.
The rear wheels on the 850 are factory spin-out options. The hub actually screws onto the rim. The working theory is that you loosen the locking dog, set the stop, hold the brake on the opposite wheel and let the clutch out slow and the hub will spin in or out til it hits the stop. No need for that in my use but I can remove the wheel and leave the hub on. The tires are loaded so they are a bear to work with no matter what you do.

At the risk of burning up someones phone line...
This first picture is of the standard drive clip in the normal drive position. There are three of these in three of the four attach points. To adjust the width these three clips are moved out of the channel they normally ride in.

This next shot is of the dual purpose clip - one per wheel. When adjusting the width this is set sideways in the channel with the right side in this picture facing the hub. One full revolution of the hub adjusts the width 2 inches so by setting the stop in different channels you can adjust in 1/2 inch increments.

This last picture is of the stop to keep you from a major screw-up
