Just found out today that my "Free, Lifetime email address", is going to start charging at the end of July.

They want $49.99/year, and that is @ 40% reduction. The cite "changing business environment" as the driver behind the change.

At least hotmail (yech!) will be free still. I use the free email services for our tractor club, Indiana AC Partners.

I read in a magazine that advertising on the free or cheap ISPs is dropping off due to the fact that it is not drawing enough business. You can bet others will follow suit and start to charge.

PS Does anyone pay attention to the dancing credit cards etc. I don't.

Ed is correct the net is changing. Kim used to be able to keep this board running off of advertising but that to has changed. Can't say it is better or worse just different.
