An ORC coupler is a great device for safely using a brush-hog. But other than a brush-hog, what other implement would it "protect" you from....Maybe a bailer, or something with a heavy fly-wheel.

Why does'nt someone invent an ORC that can be attached to the implement side rather than the tractor side? That way the PTO on the tractors can remain original and the PTO caps can be used.

I have come up with the quick change orc. It in on or off in less than 3 min. One bolt. I can e-mail pics if anybody likes. Somebody could post them then, I can't.

They do have quick disconnect ORCs. The only drawback is you have to change to 1 3/8" shaft diameter.

I have a quick disconnect ORC that fits the original skinny PTO. I got mine from John ToTG or some similar handle. Don't think he is on the board much any more, but maybe someone could help you find him. It works great except that grit can cause the push button to stick enough that it requires a light tap with a hammer/screwdriver etc.

You could install it on the implement end of the PTO shaft, but you'd have to fabricate some way to mount it. Then you'd have to have an orc for each piece of equipment. You might even figure out a way to put it inside the tractor, but you walking heavily on a cost-to-benefit ratio.
