Converted to 12 volt system. Putting in idiot light between altenator and ingnition switch. Do i install the light in series? It appears that one contact of the light would be positive and the other negative. My question is how exactly do I wire the idiot light?

Thanks for the help. Russell

Ensure the light is of the 2 wire type, most are 1 wire and are case grounded. The light does not care which way current go through it so there really is no positive or negative wire on the light itself. Connect on side of the light to the output wire of the ignition switch and the other to the wire running to the #1 contact (GM10-SI alt) of the alternator. It's that simple.

Good luck!
