Well one 12v jump and she started. Ran for about 2 hours then decided to have a cold one. Went to start her again and now she just spins but doesn't turn over engine. Time for new one? Thanks in advance for your help. Paul

Either the bendix is stuck or broken or you have some teeth missing on the flywheel ring gear. Before you remove the starter, try putting it gear and rocking it(key off) and then try to start it. If the ring gear is missing some teeth, it may bump it far enough to grab anotehr tooth. If the bendix is stuck or broken, you'll have to pull the starter. Remove the oil filter canister, loosen the bolts, hold your mouth right and wiggle it out. be careful not to pull the starter apart when you remove the bolts, because it's a booger-bear to get the commutator back inside the brushes. You might want to find a couple of nuts to thread back on the bolts when you get it out far enough. That will keep it from coming apart.
