Well, I removerd the head and the number one cylender was full of antifreeze. I assumed the head gasket had blown even though I just changed it last year.
I got another gasket, cleaned up head etc., installed new gasket, changed oil, and added water to radiator. I did not have head shaved, but looked it over and looked OK. Guess what, as soon as it started steam came from the exhaust.... The oil is full of water....and I have just about had it.
Looks to me like cracked block or cylender?
Any suggestions short of a new trackor, please reply.
Thanks

It is possible you have a crack in the head that you can't see. Let a machinist look at the head. He can determine if there is a crack and likely fix it saving you a wad of money.

Well, I took the head off "again" and checked for flatness. I guess I didn't do a very good job in checking it before, because the unit has about a .006 gap in the center spreading out to both ends. I hope this is the problem. I intend to take it to a machine shop tomorrow to check for cracks and shaved flat. Please keep your fingers crossed.
Thanks
