Need to get a brushhog and an acquaintance said to get a Rhino for my 8N as it's a "super machine" with top resale value---Anyone had experience with this brand and how would you rate it??? Other suggestions would likewise be appreciated. TIA

I have a Rhino and quite satisfied with it. Have replaced the blades one time (1 & 5/16" nuts). Wish I had put chain rock protection on when I bought it since it didn't take long to tear the other stuff off. I can mow 1 inch mesquite with no problem except flat tires. Had mine about 5 years.

A friend has an older Rhino and I tore it up. It has the clutches from the gear box to the drive shaft. I can't see anything broke and can't figure out where there is anything missing. Can anyone tell me where to get a manual or drawing or parts or what to do. Thanks

I have a 5' Rhino I bought used about 6 yrs ago and it still works great. No maintenance other than lube. I recommend it.

Amen to the flat tires! I have a Big Bee Agri-Five I got at Ewalds in Seguin and while it will eat up that damn mesquite flat tires are certainly a hazard! I just put new tires on my N and mounted the front tires tubeless full of sealant until they're too full of mesquite stickers to hold air anymore and them I'll put the tubes in 'em and remount! Seems like everytime I bush hog lately I get at least one flat!

Will a composit tire fit your mower? When I lived in TX I was always fixing flats, Dang horney toads.

Bush hog has a composite tire so no problem there. Problem is with the tractors front tires. ALWAYS one of 'em flat! Just replaced all the tractor tires and a rear rim to the tune of $700! Don't wanna' play THAT tune too often!

I dont think I saw a horney toad in the last 10yrs I lived there. I had put tire sealer in my lawn tractor and that had worked pretty good for those thin tires. I think the average tractor tire is 4 ply, you might go with a 6-8 ply next time.

Not sure how they rate, but around here in Central NY the Bush Hog brand seems the way to go for quality and fair price. I have noticed at the auctions the Bush Hog brand names go for nearly as much as they do new...it surprises me every time. I have one, a 5', and it is about 20 yrs old and it is great, never had a problem and if I can drive over it then it will cut it.
