Well it certainly worked for me. Maybe it was the machine shop that did an excellent job, or just luck, but it "WORKED. They shaved it in a manner to leave most of the material on the valve side. There was also a small crack they repaired, and all for $49.00.
I don't think it can be said that the bolts will pull a head down to the tolences required if the unit is warped. This one sucked antifreeze like a trogan before it was milled. They took off .008 in places and the way it was milled prevented the valves hitting the head.
The old 2N runs like a new one, and boy will I sleep tonight. Thanks everyone for the help.
