My 9N does not have the ammeter hooked up. It has been converted to 12 volt electrics and runs fine. Should I install a volt meter instead or just connect the ammeter? If so, where should I land the 2 wires? Thanks

This is a matter of personal taste. A volt meter has some advantages as well as disatvantages. Same can be said for the ammeter. It would be best to have both... The connection for an ammeter would be to connect the wire coming from the starter switch that probably goes to the bottom of the terminal block now and run this wire to the ammeter and then run a short wire from the other side of the ammeter to the terminal block. A volt meter would be hooked one side to the switched side of the ignition (where it hooks to the ballast resistor) and ground.
Happy Motoring
